Ellinikon, an urban regeneration project in Greece
The Ellinikon Urban Regeneration Project is being developed by Lamda Development S.A., Greece’s leading real estate developer, investor, and asset manager, which has built some of the country’s most ambitious and successful shopping and leisure centers, office buildings, residential complexes, and marinas. Lamda Development, listed on the main market of the Athens Stock Exchange, is a holding company specializing in the development, investment, and management of real estate. Lamda Development’s development projects include three shopping and leisure centers (The Mall Athens and Golden Hall in Athens, and Mediterranean Cosmos in Thessaloniki), office buildings, residential complexes and the Flisvos and Ellinikon marinas. Lamda Development is undertaking the complete metropolitan regeneration of the former “Ellinikon” airport area, which will be the largest private investment in Greece and the largest urban regeneration project in Europe. The estimated value of the investment is EUR 8 billion. The majority stake in the company is held by the Latsis Group.
